A study of the properties of the tectonic structure of the Kryvyi Rih city based on statistical analysis of seismicity

The article concerns results of studying two significant seismic events — an explosion (23.09.2020 09:00) and earthquake (30.09.2020 20:00), which occurred in the area city Kryvyi Rih. There were developed algorithms to process records by Rih station. was done a comprehensive interpretation seismologic geological-geophysical data. events’ coordinates determined, quality seismological data processing evaluated based on expert method, level trustworthiness resulting parameters estimated. nature eathquake’s origin analyzed shape records’. structure mechanism center shows that this natural event induced type. also provides geotectonics study region its connection geological structures with epicenter’s parameters. stress-strain state crust iron-ore basin are calculated, epicenter (2020.09.30 20:00:40.836, UTC) established. experimentally calculated depth local coincides hypothetical 15 km at lower edge faults according model distribution depths hypocenters Eastern European platform. proposed methods open new opportunities for modern geophysical research long-term hazard assessment Meanwhile, more precise determination place, time it is necessary develop, here adjacent territories, network stations capable recording comparable lesser magnitude.
